The 1st Oulton Broad Sea Scout Group are looking for a Social Media Team Member to help us share our story, celebrate achievements, and connect with our community through our Past & Present Facebook Page.
This is a fantastic opportunity to use your creativity and skills to highlight the amazing work we do while ensuring our online presence remains vibrant and informative.
What’s Involved?
As our Social Media Team Member, you’ll:
- Create Engaging Content: Plan, design, and post regular updates that celebrate our activities, events, and achievements.
- Connect with the Community: Respond to messages, comments, and inquiries, building strong relationships with parents, supporters, and the wider community.
- Highlight the Past and Present: Share content that reflects our rich history and the ongoing adventures of our Scouts.
- Promote Events: Help publicize fundraisers, activities, and recruitment campaigns to maximize their success.
- Ensure Accuracy and Safety: Maintain up-to-date, accurate information on our page while adhering to safeguarding and data protection guidelines.
What Are We Looking For?
We’re seeking someone who:
- Is creative, organized, and passionate about storytelling.
- Has experience managing social media platforms, particularly Facebook.
- Communicates effectively and is comfortable engaging with a wide range of audiences.
- Understands or is willing to learn about The Scout Association’s values and safeguarding policies.
- Can commit to posting regular updates and monitoring interactions on the page.

Appointment Details
- This is a volunteer role reporting to the Social Media Manager.
- Training and guidance will be provided to ensure you’re supported in the role.
